Collecting Your Results this Summer

Sixth Form Results Day is on Thursday 15th August 2024 and GCSE Results Day is on Thursday 22nd August 2024. Students are asked to collect their results on these dates, and parents/carers are also very welcome to attend.

German Exchange Programme

Last week, we were joined by 8 students and 3 of their teachers from the Otto Hahn Gymnasium in Germany as part of a new exchange programme, which we'll be running each year from this point onwards.

Key Stage 4 Choices

Students can choose from 38 GCSE and vocational options in Year 9 to study in Year 10 and 11 alongside their core subjects. They are guided through this choices process via informative assemblies, a comprehensive Choices Booklet and one to one guidance interviews with staff members.

One Million Minutes Reading Challenge certificate

One Million Minutes Challenge

Parrs Wood High School took part in a challenge for the charity Read for Good in association with Read Manchester, tasking Manchester schools to collectively read for one million minutes to unlock community book boxes and storytelling sessions for children in hospital.

ParentPay

We have now switched over to our new ParentPay system, where you’ll be able to add money for lunches, pay for school trips and manage your account. All students will be required to have an account set up by their parent/guardian.

School Holiday Sports Club

Finding affordable childcare over the school holidays can be a challenge. At Parrs Wood, we offer a school holiday sports activities scheme for children aged 5 - 12, Monday - Friday, throughout the holiday periods.
