Parrs Wood High School Choir – Manchester Cathedral Performance
Published: 04/12/2025

The Parrs Wood High School Choir sang a selection of their Christmas pieces at Manchester Cathedral on 26th November, as part of the Brainwave charity’s Christmas Concert, raising funds for the wonderful work they do help children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve greater independence by aiming to improve mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of specialist therapies. The choir sang three joint songs with the PopVox choir as well, and finished the evening with a rousing rendition of three Christmas classics. We are so proud of the level of professionalism that our students displayed, as well as their musical talents. They were wonderful ambassadors for the school and the wider trust.

“On behalf of everyone at Brainwave, thank you so much for joining us at our Charity Carol Concert on 26 November. The Choir members voices, energy, and performances helped make it a truly unforgettable evening — and we are delighted to share that, together, we raised around £4,000 net, enough to support families with our Therapy Access Fund, that provides bespoke life-changing therapy programmes.
Your involvement as performers/staff and conductor, genuinely added Christmas cheer to the event and the audience was truly mesmerised with the sound. we are beyond grateful for your support to Brainwave.”
