The Read for Good and Read Manchester One Million Minutes Challenge (30th October – 10th November 2023), tasked Manchester schools to read for 1 million minutes to unlock funding for community book boxes across the city and storytelling sessions for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Years 7 and 8 achieved a brilliant 21,720 minutes of reading in the library, helping Manchester to smash the target and hit over 2 million minutes in total! Well done to all our fantastic readers.

We’re setting the city’s children the challenge of reading for One Million Minutes! Our exciting One Million Minutes Challenge makes all reading count using our free online tool, Track My Read®.
