The SHARP System

Students can report concerns about their friends or peers anonymously via The SHARP System (Student Help Advice Reporting Page System), which is monitored during school hours.

Students

Have you got a worry or are worried about a friend and don’t know what to do?

  1. If you feel that your friend is at immediate risk of harm, please tell a trusted adult at home or at school and/or contact the emergency services on 999
  2. If you are unsure if your concern is an ’emergency’, please tell a trusted adult at home or school as soon as you can
  3. If you become concerned in the evening, at the weekend or during the holidays, you can use the two methods below or any of the agencies listed on our website, to report your concern:

What can I report on SHARP?

If you have a concern for a friend around:

  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Behaviour that endangers themselves and or others
  • Issues at home
  • Bullying
  • Behaviour that comprises FRED
  • Unhealthy relationships
  • Misuse of Social Media
  • Or any other concern or worry

What can I share on KOOTH?

If you are feeling low mood and are worried about your mental health and wellbeing caused by issues such as:

  • Stress or pressure
  • Behaviour that endangers themselves and or others
  • Issues at home
  • Bullying
  • Unhealthy relationships
  • Feel pressurised by a friend
  • Behaviour that comprises FRED
  • Misuse of Social Media
  • Supporting a friend in crisis
  • Or any other concern or worry

SHARP is not an emergency service

There will be delay in dealing with the information submitted out of school hours / during weekends and during school holidays.

KOOTH is not an emergency service

KOOTH chat is open 12pm – 10pm Monday to Friday, 6pm – 10pm Saturday and Sunday, 365 days a year.
