Enrichment - A key element of the Sixth Form experience
All students are expected to develop their social and leadership skills whilst studying at Parrs Wood and the Enrichment programme is a key element of the Sixth Form experience. The courses and activities available include:
- Sports leadership - A wide variety of sports including Badminton, Boxing, Football and many more - Music groups - Drama productions - Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme - Mentor training - The Debating Society - ‘The Parrs Word’ student magazine - Student Voice - Community work and fund-raising - First Aid - Learning support and mentoring with younger pupils - Masterclasses and conferences - Vitalise - Extended Project - Theory test for car drivers
Students are encouraged to develop independence and help themselves at Parrs Wood, and that includes organising extra-curricular activities. If there is a group or activity you want to get involved in, and it doesn’t already exist, we will work to help you establish it. We aim to help you develop your own potential, wherever that may lie.

Leading the way in leadership

We offer a range of leadership experiences such as:
The great thing about all these Leadership roles is they support your academic studies and at the same time you’ll learn important skills, increase your confidence and make new friends.
